The International Relations Study Program Student Association (HMPS HI) of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), Universitas Diponegoro, successfully held the Public Hearing I 2026 on Tuesday, May 12, 2026. Located at the FIMENA FISIP Auditorium on the 3rd floor of Building A, FISIP Undip, the event ran from 09:00 to 12:00 WIB. It was attended by around 100 participants, including active students, lecturers, and members of HMPS HI Undip.
The event was organized by the Department of Student Advocacy and Welfare (Adkesma) of HMPS HI as an open discussion forum. It brought together the entire academic community of the International Relations Study Program in a safe and constructive space. Bearing the theme “Aspiration for Progress, Change for Success,” Public Hearing I 2026 emphasized that positive change stems from the courage to express ideas and the willingness to listen to one another.
The event opened with remarks from the Head of the International Relations Department of Undip, Dr. Dra. Reni Windiani, M.S., followed by the Chairperson of HMPS HI, Zahra Carissa Ronny, and the Project Officer, Azizan Fazle Mawla Ramadhan. Following the opening remarks, the discussion forum officially commenced, guided by the moderator.
The main agenda of the event included a presentation on the results of a questionnaire previously distributed to students and lecturers as an evaluation tool for the Undip International Relations Department. These questionnaire results were presented openly to all participants, followed by a live presentation of the Padlet responses filled out during the event. The forum then concluded with an interactive Q&A session between the participants and the lecturers of the International Relations Department, creating a lively and productive space for dialogue.
Through this mechanism, student aspirations were not only conveyed in writing but also received a direct response from the department. Every question and piece of feedback submitted served as concrete evaluation material to improve the quality of teaching and learning activities in the upcoming semester.
The output generated from this event is the establishment of open and harmonious communication between students and the department. Students felt heard, while the lecturers and the department management gained a clear, real-world picture of the students’ actual conditions and needs. It is hoped that Public Hearing I 2026 will serve as a reference for the department when considering future policies.
This event proves that good communication is not merely a formality but a vital foundation for building a healthy academic ecosystem.
